2026 Public Conference “Reclaiming Authentic Conservatism: Russell Kirk and the Roots of American Order”

Across our public life, voices on both Left and Right regularly question whether the moral and social inheritance of America is worth conserving. Can a conservatism in the spirit of Russell Kirk answer these challenges? Can American constitutionalism be reinvigorated? Can a renewal of moral imagination and historical consciousness recover the roots of order—within the soul and within the Republic?

To explore these questions, the Russell Kirk Center will convene a one-day public conference on September 26, 2026, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Bringing together a dozen engaging scholars, the conference will examine key pillars of the American order—and consider how they might be conserved and strengthened in our time.

Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. Lunch is included with registration, as well as the closing Book Party wine & cheese reception at 5:00.
