“What Do Conservatives Believe?” with Mike Pence

On May 31, the Kirk Center will hold an event featuring a conversation with Vice President Mike Pence and former Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, in Grand Rapids, in honor of the 30th anniversary of Russell Kirk’s popular book, The Politics of Prudence, and to announce a new Kirk Center initiative. Mr. Pence is a long-standing admirer of Dr. Kirk’s works, once saying he has not been on vacation in more than two decades without bringing a Kirk book. The Kirk Center is pleased that Mr. Pence has agreed to participate in a discussion with Betsy DeVos and Kirk Center CEO Jeff Nelson on the theme “What Do Conservatives Believe?”

Information about the event, including host committee and sponsorship opportunities, is available on this page and individual tickets may be obtained via Eventbrite. We look forward to a wonderful gathering in Grand Rapids and particularly the introduction of a new Kirk Center program during the course of the evening.
